The Prestige!

Finally got to see The Prestige tonight! Since I can't talk much about a movie without spoiling it, I will not say much but...

WOW!!!! That was the first movie in a LONG time that actually surprised me! And as much as I love Hugh Jackman... I didn't like his character much. And I have LOVED Christian Bale ever since Newsies (please say at least someone remembers this movie *grins*). I was kinda indecisive about his character but the ending cleared it all up and of course I still love him! ;) I just have to see the movie a few more times to completely understand it. lol

And I am proud to say my newphew and brother did not drown in my drool like my nephew feared he would. *grins*

Also, I love Newsies. Adore it. Did you ever see his version of Treasure Island? It was those two movies that made me love Christian Bale :P

If you like suspenseful movies, you'll love it! Frankly, I didn't much care what the movie was about but Christian and Hugh! How can you not want to see? lol

No! I didn't see Christian in Treasure Island. I will have to track that down. Unfortunately, I have only seen I think about 5 or 6 of his movies, but I still love him. :) I loved the fact that it was actually him singing in Newsies and searched all over for the soundtack from the movie. :)

I adored the Prestige. And the way he said, "Abracadabra," was about the coolest thing ever.

And hee! Wee!Christian was so cute in Newsies with his little cowboy hat:)

I think I actually missed him saying "Abracadabra"! :( There was so much happening in the movie that I definitely have to see it again. I think I held my breath for the last 15-20 minutes of the movie.

Christian was one of my first celebrity crushes close to my age. The only other 2 I can remember liking when I was younger was Harrison Ford and Christopher Reeve. :)

It was his last word right before he died. They did a close up on his face and he sort of whispered it. *shivers*

And yeah, that's definitely a movie that has to be seen more than once:)

As for Mr. Bale, I actually didn't get a crush on him until round about the time he was in American Psycho. Which kind of has disturbing connotations actually:)

Ah! I was wondering what he said then. I couldn't really make out the word.

Unfortunately, I haven't seen many of his other movies, just about 5 or 6 I think. But I have always loved his acting. Some of his movies, like American Psycho, aren't really my kind of movies though.

Hee. My bestfriend and I did a Newsies reenactment for our French class. It was hysterical and made absolutely no sense to anyone but us! Good times! And ummm, I totally own the soundtrack.

Yay! Someone else who owns the soundtrack! I had to special order it through one of the local record stores to get it! I still love listening to it. :)
