Is it spring yet?

I didn't measure it, but I'm guessing we had close to a foot. :P I'm not a fan of snow at all. More than ready for spring now.
Thankfully, I have absolutely no place to go and no reason to leave the warmth of my house after shoveling the cars out.

Happy 2016!
Jan. 1st, 2016 01:29 am![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
I wish everyone a happy 2016 and hope it was better than 2015. I think we say that every year, but it seems like the new year is at least as blah as the previous. Maybe this will be the year it changes for the better, hopefully for at least one of us.
Hugs and love to you all.
Adrian Paul!
Sep. 30th, 2015 04:42 pmNot to mention Sean Astin, Cliff & Norm from Cheers, Walter Koening, William Katt (Greatest American Hero!!) and Danny Glover will be there too. Is it December yet? LOL
*goes to try to calm down*
Sharing for Ori

His latest is with Supernatural and I promised if he posted it to LJ, I'd share with you guys so you can see what Dean, Sam, and even Baby look like in all their 8-bit glory. I tease him about these (that's what an aunt's supposed to do, right?), but I do think they turn out pretty awesome. :D
So....here's the link to his post if you'd like to wonder over and see it. http://orionrezil.livejournal.com/7872.html

Happy Star Wars Day!!!
May. 4th, 2015 08:25 pmMay the 4th be with you all! :)
Shopping yesterday gave me all kinds of signs that I had to do something to celebrate.
I'm not one to dress up pets, but I couldn't pass up Yoda ears for Snickers. It was worth the couple dollars for this adorable pic.
And we found a Darth Vader cake pan on clearance.
So I had a bit of fun today. :-D
ETA: Pics. GRRR! Trying to post from phone and tablet apps was NOT working! :P
A day out with Orionrezil

We went to see Seventh Son. It was such a fun fantasy movie, with some pretty cool effects, especially the dragons. And of course, Ben Barnes, who I swear has not aged (possibly de-aged) since The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. Still so very pretty!
Then, for dinner... something new for me: sushi! I love seafood, but sushi never appealed to me. Ori pretty much hates fish, but likes sushi. O.O Yeah... not asking. So, we decided to do sushi for dinner. OMGNOMMMMMS!!!!! Soooo good! Can not wait to go again. Though, with how expensive it it, it'll be a while. :( But it was definitely a fun treat and a very fun day. :D

OOOOOHHHHHHH MY GOD!!!! Sooooooo much fun! So tiring too, but worth it.
Got to see panels with:
Michael Dorn (Worf on ST:TNG & DS9) & Terry Farrell (Jadzia Dax on DS9). They had a bunch of cute stories, including that they influenced their relationship on the show. They knew each other before and wanted to work with each other more on DS9 so they decided they were going to flirt. It worked and gave us one of my favorite ST pairs. :)
Peter Mayhew!!! I got to see Chewie!!! Probably as close to Harrison Ford as I'll ever get. LOL His panel was more conservative, but still awesome. He told quite a few stories from filming the original movies.
Finally... Henry Winkler! The FONZ!!!! He was so funny and so sweet. Would not let anyone ask a question without telling him their name first. I expected his panel to be fun, but not as funny as it was.
I can't wait until April and we can do it all again. Gates McFadden (Bev Crusher from ST:TNG) & Karen Allen (Marion from Indian Jones) will be there. :D
Very sad day...
Aug. 22nd, 2014 01:20 pmI love you Moose, and will miss you greatly. :(

Moose's anniversary - a day late :(
Jan. 22nd, 2014 10:18 amI feel like such a bad Mommy. Yesterday was Moose's 8 year anniversary and I almost completely forgot about it until after midnight. I guess one day late is better than forgetting completely. So here a few pictures of the past year.
( Moose )Man of Steel semi-review
Jun. 14th, 2013 02:23 pmThat said, I went into the movie with no preconceived ideas of the movie at all. I stayed away from pretty much anything but the commercials and previews. I just wanted a really good Superman movie with a really good Superman and Lois. That's exactly what I got.
Henry Cavill was really fantastic as Clark/Superman. He was great at letting Superman's humanness show through. Though, it was rather freaky how much he looked like Tom Welling! I'm assuming it's more because he's younger that he got the role over some of the other actors who were in the running, because if they wanted a Tom look-a-like, they could have just gotten Tom. lol Seriously, there was a scene when Clark was maybe 15-16 and it could have been a scene from the early seasons of Smallville! Henry is also very very very pretty, with some VERY white teeth! *g*
Amy Adams did a good job as Lois. She had a tough, no-nonsense way about her, but a feminine side without being too girly. Wish she had bit more dialog though.
I think what surprised me most was Russel Crowe as Jor-El. I'm not a big fan of Crowe's but I don't dislike him either. His portrayal of Jor-El was very impressive, it came across strong, caring, and intelligent.
The movie was almost 2 1/2 hours, and I wouldn't have minded if it was longer. There were some scenes that kinda seemed rushed, but I don't think there was really a lot of just 'filler' scenes either. Some of the fight scenes may have been a bit longer than necessary, but that seems to be the thing in action movies any more. I'd definitely give it a solid A, but I may be a bit biased just because it's a Superman movie.
The cool thing was, there were 2 short special behind the scenes/making the movie vids shown before the movie. One with the cast talking about the movie and one with Zac Snyder talking about making it.
On a side note, if anyone's interested - both Walmart and Amazon have the last few seasons of Smallville for 15-17.00 each. I got season 7 (thanks to

Thus ends my poor attempt at a review. :)
Super Nails
Jun. 11th, 2013 09:50 am
So, since Man of Steel comes out this week I wanted to paint my nails for seeing the movie. I was even able to get orionrezil to help. :)
He painted the shield on one thumb & Zod's emblem on the other. I'm really happy how they turned out. *G*
The rest of my nails ended up looking more like circus flags, but I still like them.
