tasabian asked me:  What song ALWAYS has the power to lift your spirits & make you dance around?


I  had to really think about this one.  I don't really have just one specific song, but more like songs by certain groups/singers.  Especially anything by Train, Bryan Adams, Queen, and Queensryche.

But if I had to pick a song or songs, definitely either "Get to Me" or "Save the Day" by Train.  Both have just the goofiest lyrics and great beats to them.  I will ALWAYS sing and dance to them.

I'm afraid I only know Train's ballads - but I can definitely get on board with Queen! "Don't stop me now" and "Somebody to Love" are great spirit lifters. (And "Good old fashioned lover boy" always makes me think of Rosenbaum!)

As to Bryan Adams, big love for his duet with Tina Turner!

I've been a Train fan since their first cd came out. I have all of their cds and Pat Monahan's (lead singer) solo cd. Quite a few of their songs have some just really odd lyrics, but it works for them.

Definitely the songs you mentioned by Queen and I love "Princes of the Universe" too. Or any of the songs they use in Highlander. lol

I love that song by Bryan Adams and Tina Turner too, but I can't think of the name! lol I'm so excited he has a new cd coming out, I think on April 1. :D
