A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away....


Sorry... wrong beginning. *grins* So, a few months ago, hsbfcdid this interests meme and I said I'd do it. She picked my interests she wanted to know more about and me, horrible that I am responding to memes, left it sit for 2 months. :( *bad Rosy*

Without further delay (or procrastination)... here we go... :D

The meme: Comment on this post and I will choose seven interests from your profile. You will then explain what they mean and why you are interested in them. Post this along with your answers in your own journal so that others can play along.

The interests she picked (and since I'm so late, I bring pictures too):



1. Captain Jack Harkness - From Doctor Who and Torchwood. Played by John Barrowman. Charismatic, dashing, gorgeous, witty... and looks good kissing Ianto. ;)





2. ECHL - A minor hockey league. Basically two steps below the NHL. My hometown was one of the original 5 teams to form the league, and the only remaining original team still in it's original city.

3. Elliott Sadler - A NASCAR driver. He may not be one of the elite drivers, but he's so adorable and sweet. lol Plus, he's from Virgina and has a very overwhelming 'hick' accent, but he's just so fun to listen to. lol



4. Jamie McMurray - Another NASCAR driver. Again, not one of the elite, but another adorable and sweet guy. lol



5. Joe Jurevicius - Football player, went to Penn State and since graduating has played for 4 NFL teams - New York Giants, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (won the Super Bowl with them :D), Seattle Seahawks (went to Super Bowl and lost to Pittsburgh :P lol), and Cleveland Browns (still with them). I didn't pick favorite players in any major sports way, he's cute and has a VERY odd name. lol It was enough for me. Just so happens, he's a good player too.



6. Paul Posluszny - Another football player from Penn State. Just graduated in 2007 and was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the 2007 draft. Again, cute and an odd name. But he is an incredible line backer and won the Bednarik Award for best defensive player in the nation twice. :D



7. Tyrone Power - OMG! One of the handsomest and wonderful actors ever! He was in one of my most favorite movies EVER (right behind the Star Wars Trilogy and Indiana Jones movies), The Black Swan... one of the best pirate movies ever. I lost track of how many times of seen the movie. He was also Zorro in The Mark of Zorro.

hehehe While I may have started watching DW and TW because of John, recently, my loves been leaning more towards Ianto/Gareth David-Lloyd. *grins* But them together... *dies*

Hmmm... I don't know if I see the Tenth Doctor in Tyrone. I may have to think on that a bit more. They both are pretty though. :)

Yay! :D I think the eps aired on BBC America two weeks after they aired in England, but I was too impatient and always downloaded them. *grins* Season 2 was awesome.

DW and TW isn't for history buffs - Almost have a heart attack almost every episode ...

One of my all time fav TW epi is "Out of Time" with the 3 from the 50s, and coincidentally my fav episodes of DW are the ones with JB and/or ppl from TW in them like "Utopia"

I don't really know what my favorite DW ep is, but it'd probably be from the first season, cuz I just LOVED the Ninth doctor. lol My favorite TW ep is from Season 2 - "Fragments". Awesome ep. :)

Do you think Tyrone was bi? My dad once told me that when he was a kid, there were rumors...*snort* Ancient gossip. :)

When I was younger and first fell in love with Tyrone, I never really gave any thought to actors and their sexuality. I never even heard any rumors about him possibly being bi until about a year ago and I was looking up some info on him. Someone's bio that was released years after Tyrone's death said he was bi. But my mom and aunt both really liked him and neither ever said anything, so I don't know. Personally... I don't care. He was an incredible actor. It's just ironic how decades after many of these actors die, then rumors come out that they were bi.

You know why that really stuck in my head? My dad told it to me with no kind of "isn't that awful?" it was more like "isn't that interesting?" and called him a very pretty man. Imagine a guy of his generation being that tolerant? Before my dad got religion, he was cool about a lot of things. *shakes head* too bad.

yeah, pretty much think most of those rumors are wishful thinking. :)

That's cool that your dad used to be like that. When I first heard the rumors about Tyrone and told my mom, she just kind of shrugged it off. She's cool like that. :)

I definitely think a lot of these rumors are just wishful thinking. Either way, they don't affect my opinion of them.
