DVD/Icon Meme

Snagged from pat_tbecause it looked like fun and a cool way to practice icon making. :D 

Take the DVD closest to your computer (Not in your computer, but nearest the computer)

Put it into your computer and press play in a program that can do screen grabs (or, use 'print screen' if needed).

At 10 minutes 25 seconds of the movie or first episode of the DVD, hit pause on the program. Make a screen grab of that moment.

Use that screen grab, and only that screen grab to make an icon.

I have a 'bad' habit of keeping DVD's by my computer - stacked on my printer tray... so I had 6 DVDs to choose from.  Instead of choosing, I decided to do one for each.

The 'rules' don't specify if you can doctor the image at all, so I went and played around some.  I'll post the original pic and the icon both.  I'm not real happy with how some turned out, but it's more my DVD program than anything.

I rented The Nines from Netflix and haven't had a chance to watch it yet. Only reason I got it was for Ryan. *grins*

Here's the description from Netflix: Three stories intertwine and creatively converge in John August's film that stars Ryan Reynolds, Melissa McCarthy and Hope Davis in multiple roles. This offbeat trilogy begins with "The Prisoner," about a popular TV actor under house arrest; "Reality Television" follows a TV producer's struggle to launch a new series starring his close friend; and "Knowing" features a video game designer seeking help for his family stranded by car trouble.

I'll let you know what I think after I watch it.

God, Ryan is just... Damn he's so pretty. I have been in love with him for like 10 years. Even through his thing with Alanis Morisettte. He's just so hot and such a good actor!

If I did this meme I'd either wind up with porn or Psych (the porn is technically closer, but I'd have to open a drawer).

I haven't been in love with Ryan that long... but a few years at least. Since I saw School of Life. I love seeing him on talk shows because he's so funny and just too adorable! And I absolutely HAVE to go see his new movie. :D

Ever since Two Guys, A Girl, and Pizza Place. He was great in that. He was all skinny and adorable. And now he's all... bulgy in the right ways...

OMG School of Life. That's like, the saddest movie ever!!!!

I actually want to see his new movie, too, but seriously only because it's him. Otherwise the premise wouldn't interest me at all.

Dude, I totally didn't realize that my Smallville season 1 dvds are like almost in arm reach. Like, I even looked at the box, but didn't recognize them as dvds because it's in my box of VHS tapes. But yeah, the porn ones would be fun, unless it's some awkward close up... :)

I love School of Life. I cry every time I watch it. lol I was so happy when I found it for only a couple bucks... at a grocery store!

I think his new movie looks cute, but if he wasn't in it, it would have to be another actor I really like in that role for me to want to pay to see it. But I'm still waiting till it gets to the cheap theater to see it anyways.

Oooh... yeah! Smallville! Just hopefully it'll be a good scene. lol

This was a fun one to do. sometimes I want to practice making icons, but can't decide what picture to use and this was perfect. Hmmm... maybe I'll do this with all the QAF eps. Just pick a certain time into each ep and use that pic. :D
