SV: Blue (Again)

After the initial surprise/excitement/shock wore off... I got to thinking.  I know dangerous ground there.

Anyways... I'm pretty much doubting Grant is Julian now.  Lex was what, 11 when Julian was born?  And Lex was around 21-22 in Season 1, right?  In Season 7, Lex would be 28/29, or so.   Which would make Julian 17/18.  Granted, he'd be a Luthor, with Lex helping him, but I highly doubt a 17/18 year old would be the editor or a newspaper.  And Grant looks older than that.

So, I've got two options I'm going with:  Grant is either just not Julia, or Lex clone Julian.

Thoughts?

The clone would be cool. I would totally be up for that, and it would be one of the few ways for this to make sense. However, my money's totally on the writers not remembering how old Julian is supposed to be. Or, even worse, not remembering how old Lex is supposed to be. :P

I'm hoping it's the clone.

I was all excited that they actually remembered Julian, then later it hit me that the age difference wasn't right.

I'm just hanging in for Michael. *grins*

*blink blink* I was so pissed off, it didn't even occur to me, but you're right.

I'm thinking he's a clone.

And he may even be the Lana-fake-baby that was aged artificially and made to believe he's Julian.

YAY!

After I started thinking about it, the clone is all I can believe he is now.

Lex was born in 1980. Lillian died in 1993. Somewhen between 1991 and 1992 Julian was born and a few months later killed by Lillian. We've seen the little blue baby face in "Memoria".

Anyway, if Kid!Editor was Julian, he'd be 15; 16 at the most, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I highly doubt that a reliabel newspaper like the Daily Planet would hire a minor to become their new chief editor. I highly doubt that anyone in this world would hire a minor for such a job at all.

Grant is either just not Julia
No, he is Julia. That'd explain his lack of beard growth... *nods*

Whatever this kid is, it's NOT Julian.

And I thought it couldn't get worse after the stones of power, and the fake!pregnancy... Apparently, I was wrong.
And I don't want to bleieve Grant is a clone, because... how desperate has Lex to be to clone is brother? And how on earth do they want to turn this mental fruitcake into a criminal mastermind?

I knew Lex was around 11-13 when Julian was born. Couldn't remember exactly. Either way, Julian would not be old enough to be Grant or an editor of a paper.

*grins* I think I need to proof-read my posts a bit better. lol

With the way they've been writing Lex, and the whole show really... they'd find some goofy reason that makes no sense for Lex to clone Julian.

Exactly. Thank you. Lots of people are focusing just on the way this twist affects Lex, but there're forgetting that this man can not be Julian short of him being a clone, which still doesn't make any sense.

Julian would be too young.

I'll admit I was kind of excited about Grant being Julian when it was first mentioned, then I started thinking and it irritates me now. :P

Who knows what they're doing with the show, TPTB don't.
